HBO has released a new trailer for its upcoming music drama “Vinyl”. Bobby Cannavale, Olivia Wilde, Max Casella, Ato Essandoh, Ray Romano, P.J. Byrne, Juno Temple and J.C. MacKenzie all star.
The show has some first hand experience on the era as Mick Jagger is among the executive producers. Martin Scorsese and Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire) are also executive producing the ten-episode series. The official synopsis for the show is:
From Martin Scorsese, Mick Jagger and Terence Winter, this new drama series is set in 1970s New York. A ride through the sex- and drug-addled music business at the dawn of punk, disco, and hip-hop, the show is seen through the eyes of a record label president, Richie Finestra, played by Bobby Cannavale, who is trying to save his company and his soul without destroying everyone in his path.
