“The Martian” continues to perform well and remains on top of the box office earning $37 million, just a 32% drop off. That takes its worldwide total to $227.7 million after two weeks at the box office.

Two new wide releases didn’t fair quite as well, the $150 million budgeted “Pan” opened in third place to Just $15.5 million, coming behind “Hotel Transylvania 2” with $20.2 million. Robert Zemeckis’ “The Walk” expanded wide this week and only managed $3.7 million coming in at seventh place. These figures give the director his worst wide release to date and give the film the seventh worst wide release opening of all time.

“Steve Job” by director Danny Boyle had a strong showing on  just four screens with a average of  $130,236 per screen. This ames it the highest screen average of the year so far and fourth highest of all time.  Full top 10 below, from Box Office Mojo.
