It is a sad day in entertainment news as music Legend David Bowie has died at the age of 69 after an 18 month battle with cancer. His son, film director Duncan Jones, confirmed the news after the news was broken on Bowie’s official facebook page.
Very sorry and sad to say it’s true. I’ll be offline for a while. Love to all. pic.twitter.com/Kh2fq3tf9m

Bowie’s many hits include Let’s Dance,Heroes, Space Oddity, Starman, Modern Love, Under Pressure, Rebel, Rebel and Life on Mars. He was also well known for reinventing himself and creating his flamboyant alter ego Ziggy Stardust. The singer only recently released his latest album Blackstar on his birthday on Friday.
Bowie also had a solid career in acting and had many memorable roles. One such role was when he was perfectly cast as an alien in Nicolas Roeg’s “The Man Who Fell to Earth”, he also gave a very powerful performance in “Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence”, where he played a prisoner of war. Other notable roles include “Labyrinth”, “Basquiat” and a standout turn as Nikola Tesla in Christopher Nolan’s “The Prestige”.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
