At last report Justice League Dark at Warner Brothers was in development hell. Guillermo Del Toro had left the project with no date set on the DC movie slate.

The project now has a life line according to The Tracking Board with producer Scott Rudin keen to get the film back on for filming to begin next year.

The script is currently undergoing some amendments and tweaks and the studio is meeting with potential directors. The film is set revolve around occult detective John Constantine bringing together a group of supernatural heroes . They must work together to help save the world from a madman hellbent on destroying humanity.

The film will be part of the DC Cinematic universe, but is expected to have few direct links and be able to live on its own à la Marvel’s Daredevil on Netflix. The report also goes on to say that Matt Ryan will not be reprising his role of Constantine from cancelled NBC series.
