With Disney acquiring LucasFilm there has been much speculation about a fifth “Indian Jones” movie. Would they recast the titular hero or would Harrison Ford continue wearing the iconic fedora and wielding the whip despite his advancing age.
Bradley Cooper and more recently Chris Pratt have been touted as the fans favourites to take up the role, but this week series producer Frank Marshall talked to Total Film and has shot down the reboot rumours and the possibility of recasting Jones:
“There are a lot of rumours. We haven’t even sat down to talk about Indy yet… at some point we’ll sit down. But there’s a bunch of people who could probably take the baton… We’re not doing the Bond thing where we’re going to call somebody else Indiana Jones… we have to figure this out.”
Steven Spielberg recently said he would “probably” direct a fifth instalment in the next couple of years. Let us know in the comments below if you would like to see a reboot/recast or a continuation with Harrison Ford.
