I am one of the few people to actually have really liked the admittedly flawed Prometheus. I am certainly one of a very limited number of people actually looking forward more Alien: Paradise Lost than the Neil Blomkamp’s straight up Alien 5 movie.

Scott has been talking to Awards Campaign about the sequel which will star Noomi Rapace reprising her role as Elizabeth Shaw and Michael Fassbender as android David. He goes on to say that these two characters who were very much isolated at the end of the first movie will be joined by new crew members as they travel to the engineers home planet looking for answers.

“It’s going to be it’s own separate thing because they are going to the planet of the Engineers and they are going to see what happened there. It was a disaster. And they will be in that alien craft that takes them there, but with a new group that’s incoming, a new group of travelers in the beginning of the first act.”

I for one am intrigued, how will our two familiar characters stumble upon another set of explorers and the backstory that has brought them on similar mission to David and Shaw.

“Alien: Paradise Lost” is due to begin shooting in February ahead of a  target release date of  30 May 2017.
