With a successful TV show already getting critical acclaim and great ratings, the upcoming DC cinematic Universe “The Flash” ¬†movie needs to be different enough to not confuse fans, by reaffirming that these universes live separately.

According to a source who talked to Den of Geek one way for the movie version to this is by having a deliberately different more ‘tech-based’ costume.

The source goes on to say the suit has taken inspiration directly from the “Injustice: Gods Among Us” video game, with costume looking more like armour. This would back up what Ezra Miller who will star as The Flash/Barry Allen said last month when he described the costume as “post apocalyptic”.

“The Flash” film will open in ¬†2018 and will be written and directed by Seth Grahame-Smith.
