Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance & Kenneth Branagh are all in talks to join “The Dark Knight” and “Inception” director Christopher Nolan’s next film “Dunkirk”.
The film is based on the true story of the legendary mass evacuation from the beaches and harbour of the northern french city of “Dunkirk” that happened during Word War II. Nolan will direct from his own original screenplay and produce alongside his partner Emma Thomas.
Nolan is currently screen testing in London for teenagers to lead the film, with the plan to cast established actors like Hardy, Branagh and Rylance in key supporting roles.
Nolan will film the ambitious project on a combination of IMAX 65mm and 65mm large format film, filming is set to begin in May, with many of the real locations being used for the production.
“Dunkirk” is currently is currently set for a July 21st 2017 release.
