In the massive marketing push for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” we have seen Han and Leia. But in the two teaser trailers and full trailer trailer released a couple weeks back we haven’t seen the original trilogies main protagonist Luke Skywalker.
The two most recent trailers have had the same shot of a cloaked figure with a robotic hand with R2-D2 and the speculation is this is Luke, there has been no official denial or confirmation on this yet though. He hasn’t appeared in the poster or any of the merchandise tie-ins. So the question everyone is wanting to know the answer is to, where is Luke?
The Sydney Morning Herald recently talked to the film’s directer J.J. Abrams and asked him about the whereabouts of the character?
“These are good questions to be asking. I can’t wait for you to find out the answers.”
Abrams expertly deflected this question, but when pushed further he did say there “it was no accident”, so it does seem his appearance in the film will be key to the plot. You can watch a video of Abrams deflection below. “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” opens on December 18th.
In more “Star Wars” related news, a fan made trailer for the original trilogy has popped up online, what makes this unique though it is in the style of last weeks “The Force Awakens” trailer. Check it out below.
